According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this book listed on the 16th catalogue of Belgrade International Illustration was embellished by Pegah Derakhshani Rokny’s illustrations.
“A Jacket for Eilia” is the story of a little boy who spends his days at school or on a cotton farm. Every day, Eilia tries to make his grandma happy by strange and unusual gifts.
One day, a stranger comes to grandma to take her to an unknown land. The sadness of getting separated from grandma made Eilia find a way to keep her.
By reading “A Jacket for Eilia”, children and adolescents get acquainted with the concept of death and accepting it.
Based on this news, the illustrations of “A Jacket for Eilia” had made way to the 55th Bologna Illustration Exhibition for its illustrations in 2021.
