According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this meeting will be held on the occasion of the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the beloved Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The movie, Mohammad (PBUH), directed by Majid Majidi, has viewed the prophet’s childhood in a special way. It tries to present an inspiring image and humane about his early years of life.
Based on this news, in the meeting titled “A Message of Empathy and Human Solidarity for the World: Majidi's Cinematic Reading of Mohammad (PBUH), the Prophet of God”, the artistic and the content dimensions of this cinematic work and its stand in introducing the character of the Prophet of Mercy will be examined.
The most prominent part of the program will be Majid Majidi’s special message, the author and the director of this work, to the audience.
Mohammad Reza Varzi, an Iranian director and author, Reza Gholami, a teacher of political philosophy, cultural and civilization research and Maliheh Norouzi, a researcher of theoretical art, are going to deliver lectures, in person and online, and to present their viewpoints.
This cultural event is going to be held with the cooperation of Iranian Cultural Consultant in Austria and Kanoon. Its goal is to reflect the message of empathy and human solidarity through displaying the Islam Prophet’s childhood in Iran’s cinema.
