According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the 32nd Annual World Children's Picture Contest of the Hikari Association of Japan with the theme of “Character, Emotions, Passion, Thoughts and Beliefs” was held. The winners were selected out of 11479 works sent from 68 countries. By painting a creative work, Marzieh Shafiee, a fifteen-year-old Iranian teenager from Kanoon center in Boshrouyeh in Southern Khorasan, managed to win the silver medal from this round of the contest in Japan.
Kanoon had sent 46 pieces of paintings to this art competition. Presence of Iranian adolescents among the group of winners is a sign of their talent and competence of the young generation in the field of art.
