“Bashu, The Little Stranger” Went to Toronto

"Bashu, the Little Stranger" by Bahram Beyzai is participating in the Classics section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival after winning the Best Restored Film award in the Classics section of the Venice Film Festival.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this film is produced by Kanoon in 1985. Toronto International Film Festival is an “A” festival displaying the best classic films restored in its 50-year celebration.
In this section scheduled by Robyn Citizen, the programming manager of the festival and Andréa Picard, a selection of the affecting classics from all over the world is going to be displayed.
These outstanding works, a collection of restored films by K4 quality, is going to get back to the silver screen.
Movies such as “Aniki-Bóbó directed by Manoel de Oliveira” from Portugal in 1942; “Days and Nights in the Forest directed by Satyajit Ray” from India in 1970; “Jaws directed by Steven Spielberg” from the USA in 1975; “Nadja directed by Michael Almereyda” from the USA in 1994; “Sholay directed by Ramesh Sippy” from India in 1975 ; “The Arch directed by Tang Shu Shuen from Hong Kong in 1968 are among the classic movies participating in Toronto Film Festival.
