According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the 26th round of Baghdad International Book Fair officially started its work with the presence of Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani on Sept 10.
Kanoon has displayed more than 110 books in Arabic, English, Kurdish, and Farsi in its booth.
In addition to selling books, there will be some sessions with the interested publishers to assign copyright of publishing Kanoon books in various languages. These sessions will be held with the attendance of Tamas Literal Agency, Kanoon official representative in Arab Speaking Countries.
Special guest of this round is Qatar that is participating in the book fair with the goal of introducing its intellectual, literal and artistic products; also with the goal of strengthening cooperation with Iraqi cultural and publishing institutes and other countries.
From Islamic Republic of Iran, Cultural Advisor. Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, Chronicles of Victory, Safir Ardehal, Iranian Book and Literature Home, Kurdistan Publisher, and Maaref Ins. are participating in this fair.
Next to Iranian publishers, about 310 publishers from countries such as Iraq, Bosnia, Egypt, Britain, Lebanon, Syria, Cypress, Tunisia, Canada, Morocco, Emanates, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey, Algeria, Kuwait, Oman, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine presented their products under various themes,
It is reminded that the 26th Baghdad International Book Fair is being held from 10 to 21 Sept 2025. In addition to presenting books, there are various programs such as intellectual seminars, poetry nights, exchange sessions, and workshops.
There will be some discussion sessions and workshops in this book fair.
