According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Iran Cultural Week started with the motto “Dear Iran! The Ambassador of Minab Children!” officially began with the presence of Seyed Abbas Salehi, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali, Iran Ambassador in Moscow, and Mostafa Raashed, Iranian Cultural Counselor at Decorative Museum of Moscow. This great cultural event is being held, Sep 25 to Oct 6, 2026, at the Decorative Museum of Moscow.

It is hosting senior officials and outstanding artists from both countries.
Emphasis on Cultural Diplomacy
In the opening ceremony of this event and while appreciating Iranian artists, Iran embassy in Russia, the staff in the ministry of culture and Islamic guidance, Seyed Abbas Salehi, Iran Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized that Iran and Russian Federation can have more cultural and artistic cooperation apart from political and economic issues.

While Russian Deputy Minister of Culture appreciated the fruitful and graceful presence of Iran, called Iranians authentic, artistic, and hospitable who can spread cultural exchanges in all aspects and various cities.
Transferring Minab Children’s Message
Kanoon delegates introduced an important part of its products and achievements during the “Friendship Week Program”.


At Kanoon booth, it was explained to the senior official that Kanoon does more than 64 various types of cultural and artistic activities, with more than 1000 cultural and artistic centers that promote the culture of book and book reading. One important section was introducing indigenous and traditional Iranian dolls like “Bibi Baygak” (Book of Balouchi Child’s Doll), “Toktam” and “Dotouk” with Russian ID cards and explanations to transfer Minab children’s message to the international audience. Additionally, a collection of Kanoon’s books in English and wordless books ("silent books"), selected works of illustration and children's paintings, as well as selected animations and music videos introducing Kanoon in Russian, were put on public display. Many Russian families have expressed that the inaugural exhibition dedicated to children and adolescents featuring free specialized workshops in Moscow offers an exceptional and highly welcome opportunity to gain firsthand insight into Iran’s rich identity and culture. It is worth noting that the Iranian cultural exhibition is being held simultaneously in four cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, and Kazan.
