According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the jury including Gity Khameneh, Ashkan Khatibi, and Folke Tegetthoff from Denmark selected 14 works by Iranian and foreign storytellers sent to the festival secretariat.
According to jury vote, eight Iranian participants and their stories reached the final stage of the festival:
* Somayeh Ashab Sahf with “Cats and Roosters” from Yazd
* Effat Tfazzoli with “Malangoo” from Hormozghan
* Davoud Reyhani with “There Was One” from Khorasan
* Touba Shirkani with “Raees Ali” from Boushehr
* Solmaz Sadeghzadeh Nasrabadi” with “The Eleventh Step”
from East Azarbayjan
* Maryam Fahimpour with “Old Woman’s Pumpkin” from
Khouzestan
* Mehdi Mohammadian with “At the Price of Freedom” from
Tehran
* Kimia Yaghoubi with “Bijan and Manijeh” from Tehran
Six foreign participants could reach the final stage with the jury vote:
* Cij Alicia from Canada
* Elizabeth Ann from North Ireland
* Itu Tetsoya from Japan
* Karelia Rodriguez Montoya from Switzerland
* Sarpkaya Sekin from Turkey
* Sareh Ghasir from Lebanon
The names are in alphabetical order. There is no ranking in this announcement.
The final stage of Kanoon 22nd International Storytelling Festival is held from Dec 17 to 21 2019 at Center for Cultural/ Artistic Creation on Hejab St, Tehran.
The participants in the international section are going to stage on Dec 18, 2019 with the jury attending the ceremony.
