“Am I a Wolf?” Received the Award of Hiroshima Animation Festival

“Am I a Wolf?” directed by Amir Houshang Moien won the award and the statuette of the 18th Hiroshima Animation Film Festival, 2020.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, “Am I a Wolf?”, Kanoon short animation, which had entered the official competition section of the 18th Hiroshima Animation Festival 2020 won Hiroshima Award 2020, along with a festival statuette and a cash prize of one million Japan Yen.

The jury considered this animation deserved to receive the award because it blurs the boundaries between reality and theatrical-cinema performances through fascinating images and harmonic sounds.

Kanoon produced “Am I a Wolf?” in 2017. It has won 14 international awards so far and has had more than 30 international appearances.

The eight-minute animation is based on a story with the same title written by Afsaneh Shabaan Nejad published by Kanoon. It is made with Digital Animation Technique produced at Kanoon Cinematic Affairs.

Hiroshima Biennial Animation Festival is one of the most important animation festivals in the world approved by Oscar Academy for short films. It was held from August 20 to 24, 2020 without the presence of audience in Japan.
