Two Kanoon Animations Presenting at Hiroshima Festival among 59 Films

“Crab”, a short animation directed by Shiva Sadegh Asadi, along with “Am I a Wolf?” directed by Amir Houshang Moein, two Kanoon productions, made their way to Hiroshima Animation Festival, 2020.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, 59 films from all over the world will compete with each other in four groups in official competition section of Hiroshima Biennial Animation Festival.

“Crab”, the ten-minute and fifty-second animation, is made with pastel and oil paint technique on paper combined with rotoscopic technique. It was completed at the beginning of 2020.

It is the story of a shy and isolated boy who is interested to be a member of the theater group at school. But, the only role is offered to him is the role of a “Crab”.

 “Am I a Wolf?” by Amir Houshang Moein had attended 18th Hiroshima Animation Festival official competition section before. It is supposed to be shown in the group 4 of this section.

Hiroshima Biennial Animation Festival is one of the most important festivals in the world. Academy Award has approved it for short films. It is supposed to be held from 20 to 24 August, 2020 in Japan.

It should be mentioned that Shiva Sadeghi Asadi had previously made two animations: “Kitten” and “Grandfather”. Kanoon was the producer.
