Various Stages of “Gilgamesh” is Over

Various stages of producing “Gilgamesh”, a two-dimension animation produced at Kanoon, the latest work by Hossein Moradizadeh, is over.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, designing and producing stages of this ten-minute animation started in October 2019 and got over in April 2021, now ready to be presented.

Hossein Moradizadeh explained that Gilgamesh is human most ancient literary-epic work since 2700 BC; the most ancient written part of it dates back to the second millennium BC; yet it dates back to 3000 BC.

According to this educated at IRIB University in animation directing, The Epic of Gilgamesh had described human’s fate in search of eternity in the best form.

“Gilgamesh” is the story of the well-known hero-champion of Uruk, a city in Sumer, Mesopotamia with a half-god half-human character. He has spent his life in search of eternity; he gets fails many times but finally comes across a plant that can make him eternal although a snake finds it and his lifetime achievements is lost.  

Hossein Moradizadeh is born in 1969. He has been a member of Association of Iranin Painters (AIP), ASIFA International (Association Internationale du Film D' Animation);  The Iranian Animation Society- ASIFA Iran, also he has been a member of jury at various festivals.

He has previously made several animations such as “The Legend of Mardoush” a three-part work based on The Shahnameh.
