“Being Ten” and “The Lovely Sky” Made Way to World Festival of Animated Film Varna, Bulgaria

“Being Ten” and “The Lovely Sky”, two Kanoon animations, entered at the competition section of short films of World Festival of Animated Film Varna, Bulgaria.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, the two animations are produced by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. They have participated at several international film festivals. “Being Ten” has won the third award from the 11th international festival “Constantine's Gold Coin”, Serbia.

Last work by Amir Mehran, “The Lovely Sky”, a fourteen-minute animation made by 2D technique, is going to be displayed on 6 September 2023 at 19:00 in a seventy-one-minute collection.

“Being Ten”, an eighteen-minute animation made by stop-motion technique, is directed by Fatemeh Jafari. This animation is going to be displayed on 6 September 2023 at 19:00 in a collection. The collection is 68 minutes and 47 seconds.

Freedom of creativity, the bridge between generations, cultural enrichment, attending international activities, and a tendency to the modern animation are the main goals of World Festival of Animated Film Varna.

World Festival of Animated Film Varna is going to be held at various sections of short films, student, children, feature, and horror films; also, films made in Bulgaria.

Kanoon had previously participated at the short animations section of the same festival with “Am I a Wolf?” made by Amir Houshang Moein.

The 19th World Festival of Animated Film Varna is going to be held from September 6 to 10, 2023 in coastal city of Varna, Bulgaria.
