According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Film Festival, three successful Kanoon animations including “In the Shadow of the Cypress” directed by Shirin Sohani and Hossein Molayemi winning the Oscar 2025, “The Sprayer” directed by Farnoush Aabedi winning more than 330 national and international awards, “Being Ten” directed by Fatemeh Jafari attended at the Iranian Film Week in Zagreb. All three works were screened for Croatian audiences as representatives of the Iranian animation sector.
The feature film, “In the Arms of the Tree” made by Babak Khajeh Pasha, a joint product by Kanoon and Soureh Cinema Organization, is also participating at this art event.
The speakers of the opening ceremony of this art event held with the participation of the ones interested in Iranian cinema and art, pinpointed on the interest of Croatian audiences in Iranian Cinema and art, the great success of Iran’s cinema in the world, also the outstanding distinction Iranian films possess due to poetic elements, delicate symbolism, and its competence in transferring strong messages.
Iranian Film Festival was held in Zagreb, Croatia from April 3 to 6, 2025.
