Zero Plus International Festival Films for Children and Youth is one of the prestigious cinematographic events among Russian children and families.
The goal of this festival is to promote and expand the production and displaying of content-rich films for children and teenagers. Films that cultivate their worldview through creative, constructive and positive viewpoints.
By putting emphasis on common humane values like family, childhood, friendship, kindness, and respecting the nature, it tries to promote a humane and hopeful spirit among its audience.
18-minute animation “Being Ten” is about a boy living with his father in a faraway jungle. One day, the boy’s father traps a duck to end his son’s loneliness. The boy and the duck come to know each other gradually until unwanted events change the boy’s views towards the world surrounding him.
In the 12th round of Zero Plus Festival, more than 200 films from 30 countries in various sections like short, feature, animations, documentaries, and scientific will be displayed. Many of these films are being displayed for the first time.
Kanoon could previously win the Grand Prix of the 8th Zero Plus Festival for “The Ocean Behind the Window” directed by Babak Nabizadeh.
It is reminded that the 12th Zero Plus International Festival of Films for Children and Youth is going to be held from 5 to 12 Oct 2025 in Tyumen, Russia.
