Screening Two Kanoon Animations in Anifest Festival, Canterbury, Britain

Two short animations: “The Dog that Was Sick” by Parvin Tajvid, and “Cycling Wind” by Nazanin Sobhan Sarbandi were screened in 12th Anifest Animation Festival, Canterbury Anifest 2020, Britain.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, Kanoon has produced these animations. They were supposed to be screened on March 1st, 2020 at 12:00 in the main hall of the festival.

Canterbury Anifest Festival awards the best films from Britain, international films, student films, personality, film voice, artistic designing and the best film by the audience.

12th Canterbury Anifest Festival was held on February 29th and March 1st, 2020. Animation enthusiasts can not only watch films but also they can participate in training workshops and criticizing/ reviewing film meetings.

“Cycling Wind” is the story of a young wind who gets the ownership of a bicycle. The wind blows faster by riding the bicycle. Without spending much energy, he goes to different directions and enjoys going around. It is the only wind having such facility.  The new freedom and power gives it the ability to do anything it wants.

“The Dog that Was Sick” is the story of a dog that gets sick because it eats everything. When the vets in the clinic try to cure him, they notice that he has eaten so many things. After they take out everything he had eaten, he eats them all again…

It is the fifth international festival that “Cycling Wind” has participated in. “The Dog that was Sick” has participated in the national section of Esfahan 32nd International Film Festival and Tehran 11th International Animation Festival and has obtained some awards.
