Thirteenth International Award for Kanoon Animation

“Am I a Wolf?” directed by Amir Houshang Moein won the special award of International MONSTRA Animation Festival, Portugal to win its 13th international award.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this eight-minute film could win the special award of competition section at 20th  MONSTRA International Animation Festival, Portugal held online.

Movies made it to the competition section competed with each other to get various awards: the award for the best short film from Portugal, the jury special award, the best experimental short film, the special award and the audience award.

 “Am I a Wolf?” is based on a story by Afsaneh Shabaan Nejad published by Kanoon produced with digital animation technique in Kanoon Cinema Affairs.

This animation is produced in 2016. It has won 12 international awards so far and has had 30 international appearance.

 “Am I a Wolf?” has won the Golden Dove for short animation from 62nd Leipzig Film Festival, Germany; the award of New face from 22nd Art Media Festival, Japan; the award for “Children Dreams” section from Insomnia International Animation Festival, Russia; the award of the best short animation from Tripoli 6th Film Festival, Lebanon; the award of world competition section from 12th Paris International Animation Festival.

It also has won the grand prize at Indie-AniFest, South Korea; the first prize of Marathon International Animation Festival, Greece;  special award of  Digicon 6 Asia; the award of the best film from Golden Cocker Children Film Festival, Romania; the silver award of 11th Tehran International Animation Festival; award from 48th  Roshd International Film Festival in two sections; the award for best voice acting in national section from 35th Tehran International Short Film.
