The International Cartoon Club Film Festival, launched in 1985, has had dramatic influence on animation promotion especially on short, story, educational, and experimental animations drawn with computer graphics.
This festival is a good chance for authors and filmmakers to have meetings and get to know each other. There is a film market called Riminicomix for the comics, games and its required equipment.
The 35th International Cartoon Club Festival is held from 13 until 21 July 2019 in Rimini, Italy. In this festival animations from Iran, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Italy, Argentina, Germany, Singapore, Holland, Finland, Belgian, France, Portugal, Spain, Georgia, Sweden, England, China, Bulgaria, Estonia, and India were screened.
There are various sections in this festival: contest of animations made by high school, university, and animation school students (Sig Rosso Award), contest of animations made by children (Cartoon Jury Award), contest of special animations for children (Cartoon Kids Award) and Landscape section.
