“Am I a Wolf?” Made Way to Hiroshima Animation Festival 2020

“Am I a Wolf?” , Amir Houshang Moein’s last work, Kanoon production in 2018, has made its way to the official competition section of 18th Hiroshima Animation Festival, 2020.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this eight-minute animation has won many awards so far at various international festivals. This time it is going to compete with other animations in Hiroshima Festival.

Hiroshima International Animation Festival is one of the most important animation festivals in the world, approved by Academy Award for short films. It is a biennial festival held in Hiroshima, Japan.

Sayoko Kinoshita, festival director, decided to hold the festival without audience and only with the presence of Japanese jury due to coronavirus pandemic from August 20th to 24th, 2020. 

“Am I a Wolf?” is a digital animation in which children perform the old story of goats and wolf in the form of a puppet show. The mother goat in her sorrows of missing her kids and the furious wolf in his loneliness confront each other and as usual, the wolf is defeated.

It should be mentioned that the results of this festival would be announced on the last day of the festival, on August 24th .
