Kanoon Bold Presence in Esfahan Children and Youth Film Festival

Kanoon Cinematic Affairs will have a bold presence at Esfahan 32nd International Children and Youth Film Festival

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, latest Kanoon feature film, “Ocean Behind Window”, directed by Babak Nabizadeh along with two animations, “The Dog that was Sick” directed by Parvin Tajvid are going to be screened in this festival. In addition “Golden Topknot” directed by Mahin Javaherian had already made it to this festival.

In the Olympiad section for teen filmmaking, six works by Kanoon members from various cities managed to reach the competition section of the event. They are “Seven Color Ceramic Making”, “Bachoog”, “Suitcase”, “Daughter and Loor”, “Atena”, “Story Maker”.

In addition to Kanoon new films be screened at Olympiad for teen filmmaking, documentaries, fictions and old Kanoon animations are to be screened, too.

Ten-minute fiction “Bread and Alley” and four-minute animation “So Can I” by Abbas Kiarostami, an eight-minute documentary “Children in Museum” by Abdullah Alimorad. A thirteen-minute fiction “Little Brigade” by Mehran Malakouti, “All Good Days” by Mehdi Jafari, “Path” by Alireza Chitaie, “Time for Games, Time for Lessons” by Iraj Karimi are to be screened in Olympics Teens Filmmaking section.

Mohammad Reza Karimi Saremi Director General of Kanoon Cinema and Theater Affairs and a member of Policy Council and Selection Board is a referee of the Third Teenage Film Olympiad.

Meanwhile, the everlasting movies “Where is Friend’s Home” by Kiarostami, and “Harmonics” by Amir Naderi, along with the following animations are going to be shown at various sections in Esfahan Festival: “Scarecrow’s Heart”, “The Shadow which Turned into Light” , “Am I a Wolf”, “The Fearful Night of Lomo”, “Cycling Wind”, “Hero”.

At the same time, Kanoon mobile theater is going to display short and feature animations during festival days in Esfahan.

Felicitations ceremony for Mahin Javaherian, the director of Kanoon everlasting movies, along with Maryam Saadat and Alireza Rezadad are other programs coming up in this artistic and cultural event.

Esfahan 32nd International Children and Youth Film Festival is held in Esfahan from August 19 to 26, 2019. Alireza Tabesh is the director general of the festival.
