 “Crab” was Awarded by Dresden Film Festival, Germany

“Crab”, a Kanoon production, received the golden award of the best film by the audience and honorary diploma by the children jury for the 33rd International Short Film Festival, Germany.

According to Kanoon General Directorate for Public Relations and International Affairs, this animation could attract the audience attention out of the 37 films entered at the international section of the festival. It received the 3000 Euro cash award for the film through the audiences’ point of view.

The children jury for the 33rd  Filmfest Dresden (International Short Film Festival) awarded “Crab” with an honorary diploma.

The statement from the children's jury praised the film: "Although the story is sad and traumatic, the story of the film is still lively. The child's feelings, and especially his fears, are clearly highlighted through dramatic music and threatening visual language. This combination has an extremely powerful effect and impresses the audience a lot.”

The winners of the festival were introduced in three competitive sections of National, International, and Regional on July 17th, 2021 in Schauburg Filmtheater, Dresden, Germany.

“Crab” directed by Shiva Sadegh Asadi is made at Kanoon Cinematic Affair. Based on the announcement by festival secretariat this festival is supposed to screen all the selected films on July 18 in three movie theaters.

33 Filmfest Dresden (International Short Film Festival) was held in-person and virtually from July 13 to 18, 2021 in Dresden, Germany.
